I'm Rachel, Founder of Petals & Paperie
Hello, I’m Rachel - a floral designer and event stylist based in beautiful North Yorkshire. Following 12 years as a graphic designer, I trained in floristry at Askham Bryan College York and the Tallulah Rose Flower School in the Lake District. From there I founded my own florist studio, Petals & Paperie. My floral design style is deeply rooted in my knowledge of design theory. With an understanding of how design and styling choices can both create and shape emotions, I can apply this to my floral designs to create emotive experiences that alight all the sense and create unforgettable weddings.
I absolutely love bringing your floral vision to life, whether it’s for a simple gift bouquet, or a large-scale wedding installation. I love working with my clients to create experiences and events that truly reflect them as a couple.
When I’m not in my studio, I can be found scouring vintage shops for styling props, hiking around North Yorkshire, or pottering in our hillside garden at home. The studio doesn’t feel complete without Nala the golden retriever, my fluffy sidekick, who like most goldens is forever sitting in just the wrong place!

From wreaths, and posies to casket sprays and tied sheafs, each of my funeral arrangements is created from the highest quality flowers and wherever possible includes the favourite flowers of your loved one.
