A Wedding Editorial Shoot at Denton Reserve

I was honoured to join the floral team for The Collective by AWE editorial wedding workshop at Denton Reserve in North Yorkshire. Denton Reserve provided the perfect backdrop for the workshop. Tucked into the heart of the North Yorkshire moors near Ilkley, the venue's earthy tones, minimal interiors and warm, pared-back styling sat beautifully alongside the floral direction. It's the kind of space that lets the details breathe. 2026 is shaping up to be the year of the mono-floral bouquet. Monobloom designs and cascading bouquets are having a genuine moment, and this editorial day felt like the perfect canvas to explore tonal, monobloom installations led more by texture than by colour.

The palette was tonal and neutral throughout focussing on warm ivories, soft creams and gentle earthy undertones. The restrained colour palette let the texture and form lead at the forefront. The key floral moments included a cascading gypsophila arch framing the ceremony space, accented by moody, earthy decor and dark wooden detailing.
