Autumn Wreath Workshop - Sunday 11th October 2026 details

Product Description

When: Sunday 11th October March 2026, 2pm-4pm - I would recommend arriving 5 minutes before the workshop begins to get settled in.

Where: This workshop takes place at Marton cum Grafton Village Hall (Marton Memorial Hall) and is conveniently located for those visiting from Harrogate, Wetherby, Ripon, Knaresborough and York. The venue offers toilet facilities, disabled access and on-street parking.

What: I love autumn and all the warming colours the season brings! This workshop is definitely a celebration of beautiful burnt oranges, mochas and burgundy. You'll learn how to create a fresh and dried autumn door wreath, before going home with a completed wreath to enjoy. A fresh and dried autumn wreath combines dried flowers with a mix of fresh foliage and flowers that are selected for their ability to retain their colour and structure as they dry. Choose from a beautiful selection of dried stems such as wheat, grasses, strawflowers, poppy seed heads and more! With a mix of dried flowers and carefully selected fresh stems, your wreath will last for weeks (and months) to come.

In the workshop you’ll first learn how to create the base of your wreath using a traditional technique. You’ll then choose from an abundance of fresh and dry wreath materials at our wreath bar to adorn your wreath with. You'll then finish your wreath with a beautiful ribbon.

Who: This workshop is perfect for all skill levels, from complete beginners to experienced florists. Suitable for adults aged 18 and over.

Teacher: The session will be hosted by me, Rachel. My workshops are designed to be welcoming, relaxed and creative, giving you the chance to learn new floristry skills in an enjoyable setting. I’ll guide you through each stage of the wreath-making process, sharing expert tips and techniques to help you create a wreath you’ll love.

Refreshments: Enjoy tea, coffee, soft drinks and a delicious sweet treat served throughout the afternoon. Please let us know when booking about about any dietary requirements or food allergies.

Caring For Your Dried Wreath
  • Keep your dried wreath, dry. If you are hanging your wreath outside, make sure to protect it from extreme wet weather such as heavy rainfall and snow. Mould can grow on dried wreaths if they are exposed to excessive or prolonged wet conditions. If you are hanging your wreath indoors, avoid high moisture areas such as bathrooms and kitchens.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight as this can speed up the natural colour fade process over time.
  • Dried wreaths are naturally delicate so handle with care when moving and avoid windy areas.
  • Over time dried flowers can collect dust. Use a hairdryer on a low, cool setting to gently blow air over your wreath and remove dust and debris.
Seasonal Availability

Please note that due to seasonal demand and availability, it may be necessary to use alternative flowers and foliage from those pictured. Where possible we will substitute these for a flower that is similar in colour and style.
