Easter Spring Wreath Workshop - Sunday 29th March 2026 details

Product Description

When: Sunday 29th March 2026, 2pm-4pm - I would recommend arriving 15 minutes before the workshop begins to get settled in.

Where: Marton cum Grafton Village Hall (Marton Memorial Hall, Marton cum Grafton, North Yorkshire, YO51 9QY). Perfect location for anyone living between Harrogate & York. Toilet facilities and disabled access available. On-street parking available.

What: In the workshop you’ll learn how to create a ‘living’ spring wreath. Living spring wreaths bring growing plants and bulbs such as Muscari, Violas and Tete-a-Tete, together with cut foliage and flower stems to create a wreath that evolves and grows with the season. Small spring plants are wrapped in carpet moss and attached with wire to a mossed wreath base. This means the plants and bulbs can keep growing into moss and keep flowering throughout the spring. What’s more, once your wreath has finished flowering, you can replant the bulbs and plants in your garden to enjoy for years to come  - it really is a wreath that keeps on giving!

In the workshop you’ll first learn how to create the base of your wreath using a traditional mossing technique. You’ll then choose from an abundance of fresh wreath materials at our wreath bar to adorn your wreath with. Choose from spring bulbs such as Muscari and Narcissus, spring flowering plants such as Viola and Primrose and dainty easter decorations such as speckled eggs and feathers.

Who: This workshop is suitable for everyone, whether you’re a seasoned florist or budding beginner. This workshop is suitable for ages 18+.

Teacher: The workshop will be led by myself (Rachel). My workshops are always relaxed and friendly, allowing you to explore your creativity in a fun environment, whilst learning new skills. I will guide you through the workshop step-by-step, sharing professional floristry tips and tricks along the way to create your dream wreath.

Refreshments: We will be serving tea, coffee, soft drinks and a selection of beautiful sweet treats throughout the morning. Please inform us if you have any dietary or food allergy requirements.
