Every subscription bouquet is hand-crafted on the day of delivery, featuring a mix of the finest seasonal flowers and foliages that reflect the current season. By using fresh seasonal blooms and hand-delivering bouquets in water, we ensure long-lasting, beautiful flowers that brighten your home and bring joy to your recipient.

Prepaid Subscriptions

Our prepaid bouquet subscriptions are the ultimate year-round gift, perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, or Christmas. Select from our five bouquet sizes and choose to send one bouquet a month for 3, 6, or 12 months.

All prepaid bouquets are paid upfront, providing a stress-free gifting experience. The first bouquet includes a beautifully printed subscription card with your personal message and subscription details for the recipient. Every bouquet comes with complimentary local flower delivery, with only the first bouquet delivery charged.

Prepaid bouquets are delivered on the first working day of each month, or the next working day if the 1st falls on a Sunday, Monday, or Bank Holiday. See full subscription T&C’s here.

Pay-As-You-Go Subscriptions

We’re big fans of self-care - and what better way to treat yourself than with a scheduled delivery of gorgeous flowers to look forward to. If you’re looking for a hassle-free way to order beautifully curated seasonal flowers for your home on a regular basis, our pay-as-you-go subscription is perfect for you. If you are sending the subscription as a gift, the first bouquet will include a printed subscription card featuring the details of the subscription and your gift message. Simply add your gift message on the product page.

For complete flexibility, our pay-as-you-go subscription allows you to receive one bouquet either weekly, every 2 weeks, every 4 weeks, or every 8 weeks. Bouquets are delivered on Wednesdays, excluding bank holidays; if a delivery falls on a bank holiday Wednesday, it will arrive on the next working day.

Please note, if you are on a weekly or bi-weekly subscription plan, you will not receive the same bouquet design more than once in a given month, each bouquet will be a different design and will include a different selection of seasonal flowers.

You are charged 2–3 working days before each delivery, with delivery fees based on your location. Easily pause, skip, or cancel your subscription at any time (minimum commitment: 3 payment cycles). See full T&C’s here.

We offer local delivery from our studio in North Yorkshire, covering the following postcodes throughout Harrogate, Knaresborough, Boroughbridge, Ripon and the surrounding villages.

  • YO51 - Free
  • YO26, HG1, HG2 & HG5 postcodes - £4.50
  • HG3 & HG4 postcodes - £6.50

Please note, for Prepaid Subscriptions, you will not be charged delivery fees for the duration of your subscription.

Subscription bouquets will be hand-delivered by Petals & Paperie. We currently do not offer nationwide delivery.

Seasonal Availability

Please note that due to seasonal demand and availability, it may be necessary to use alternative flowers and foliage from those pictured. Where possible we will substitute these for a flower that is similar in colour and style.

Caring For Your Fresh Flowers
  • Remove your flowers from the packaging.
  • Trim 1-2cm off the end of each stem at a sharp angle.
  • Add your flowers to a vase with fresh water, removing any leaves that sit below the water line.
  • Add the flower food (if provided) to the water, following the instructions on the sachet.
  • Clean your vase and change the water every 2-3 days to reduce bacteria.
  • Keep flowers out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources.
  • Remove any wilting leaves or flowers as you see them to prolong the life of the remaining flowers.
  • Keep your fresh flowers away from fruit bowls. Ripening fruit releases a gas called ethylene. Ethylene gas promotes ripening in fruit but also causes flowers to wilt faster, leading to a shortened vase life.
Safety Precautions

Not suitable for human or animal consumption.

Some flowers may be toxic to both pets and people, so please keep them out of reach of children and animals. To prevent damage, protect hard surfaces such as tables, window sills, and kitchen counters, as pollen from certain flowers can cause staining. We recommend placing your vase or arrangement on a protective mat or cloth.

Each of our gift bouquets is accompanied by a hand-written message card, lovingly written by our team. Every detail is considered, with your gift card presented in an envelope that perfectly complements the colours of your bouquet. All of our message cards are protected in a recyclable plastic sleeve to keep your message safe.

All of our gift bouquets are elegantly gift-wrapped and delivered with an ‘aqua pack,’ ensuring they arrive in water. How do bouquet subscriptions work?

Whether you wish to treat yourself to fresh flowers, or delight someone special with gifts that bloom month after month, we have two subscription types for you to choose from: prepaid or pay-as-you-go.

Prepaid

If you’re looking for the perfect gift for any flower lover, or you want to organise fresh flowers for your own home on a monthly basis, our prepaid subscription option is for you. The recipient will enjoy one stunning bouquet each month for 3, 6, or 12 months. Simply choose the bouquet size and subscription length, and we’ll take care of the rest.

All bouquets are paid upfront and the first bouquet arrives with a beautifully printed subscription card explaining the subscription. Enjoy complimentary delivery for the entire subscription period - only the initial delivery is charged.

Prepaid bouquets are delivered on the first working day of the month. If the 1st falls on a Sunday, Monday, or Bank Holiday, delivery will occur on the next working day. See full T&C’s here.

Can I choose specific flowers or colours in my subscription bouquets?

We currently do not offer the option for you to choose specific flowers and colours in your subscription bouquet. Your subscription bouquet will contain a beautiful mix of seasonal flowers and foliage that are reflective of the given season. Each month, we design several seasonal bouquet arrangements that include a range of colour palettes and include the very best blooms for that season. Each of our subscribers will receive the same design in their chosen bouquet size.

Please note, if you are on a weekly or bi-weekly subscription plan, you will not receive the same bouquet design more than once in a given month, each bouquet will be a different design and will include a different selection of seasonal flowers.

When will my flower subscription be delivered?

Delivery dates depend on the type of subscription - please see below:

Prepaid:

Your first delivery will be delivered on the 1st working day of the upcoming monthWhere the 1st falls on a Saturday, Sunday or Monday bouquets will be delivered on the next working day (excluding bank holidays).

Pay-as-you-go:

Pay-as-you-go subscription bouquets are delivered on Wednesdays, excluding bank holidays. Where a delivery falls on a bank holiday Wednesday, bouquets will be delivered on the next working day.

New subscriptions require a 2-business day notice, so if you wanted to receive an order on the upcoming Wednesday, orders need to be placed before Monday.

I need to change my subscription delivery address, how can I do this?

Please send an email to rachel@petalsandpaperie.com with your new address and I’ll update your delivery preferences for your bouquet subscription.

Please note, if your new delivery address falls within a different delivery zone, we reserve the right to update your shipping rate or charge additional fees to accommodate delivery to your new address.

Can I cancel my bouquet subscription?

Prepaid Subscriptions:

All prepaid subscription offerings are non-refundable and can't be cancelled once the order has been placed.

Pay-as-you-go Subscriptions:

There is a minimum commitment of 3 payment cycles before you are able to cancel a pay-as-you-go subscription. After 3 payment cycles, you can cancel your subscription at any time.

How do I look after my flower delivery?

For bouquets, make sure to:

  • Remove all packaging
  • Re-cut stems at a sharp angle, 1-2cm from the end of the stem
  • Place freshly cut stems in water within one hour of the delivery time.
  • Maintain adequate water levels
  • Avoid placing arrangements or bouquets in direct sunlight or in high heat areas (for example above a radiator).

For arrangements, make sure to:

  • Spray foam / moss periodically every couple of days or as often as needed to keep it damp to touch.
  • Avoid placing your arrangement in direct sunlight or in high heat areas (for example above a radiator).
What happens if the recipient is not home when you try to deliver?

If no-one is at the recipient’s address to receive the delivery, I will leave your delivery in either the safe place you have specified, or a covered area which I deem safe to leave it. 

If I cannot find a safe place, I will leave the delivery with a neighbour and leave a calling card in your letterbox. All bouquets and arrangements are left with a water source, so you can feel assured that your flowers will be hydrated until the recipient returns.

Unfortunately, because fresh flowers are perishable, I am unable to take deliveries back to our studio for re-delivery.

How much do I have to spend to qualify for delivery?

There is a minimum order spend of £40 in order to be eligible for delivery on the website. This can be made up of fresh flowers, wreaths, gifts and lifestyle items.

I offer local delivery to postcodes covering Harrogate, Knaresborough, Boroughbridge and the surrounding villages. See my delivery fees by postcode area below:

Do you offer next-day or same-day flower deliveries?

By default, we request a minimum notice of 2 business days for all deliveries. Same, or next-day delivery is not typically available, however, please ring me on ‭07884 562074‬ as in some instances I may be able to facilitate your request.
