DIY Spring Easter Wreath Making Kit - Lilac details

Product Description

Pretty and delicate, the DIY Lilac Spring Wreath Kit includes a beautiful selection of fresh bulbs, plants and flowers, alongside all of the basic wreath making materials to provide you with everything you need to create a gorgeous luxury spring wreath at home. The lilac kit includes fresh spring plants such as Primrose and Violas in striking lilac and purple colour themes, alongside several varieties of bright and long-lasting Limonium.

Your kit comes with a detailed step-by-step guide and access to an online video tutorial, so you’ll feel fully supported as you craft your wreath at home. You’ll begin by creating a mossed base, then layer in plants, bulbs and freshly cut foliage to build your design. Each plant arrives nestled in carpet moss bundles, ready to secure in place.

The 12” (30cm) base creates a generous finished wreath of around 16” (40cm), and you can expect to spend 1.5–2 hours creating your spring wreath. Everything is included—simply have a sharp pair of scissors or secateurs to hand. Pop the kettle on, crack open the Mini Eggs and enjoy! Hosting an Easter craft gathering? You’ll need one kit per guest.

When the display has finished flowering, the plants and bulbs can be gently removed and replanted in your garden to flourish again for seasons to come.

Caring For Your DIY Spring Wreath Kit

Before Making Your Wreath

  • When you first receive your DIY wreath kit, water the potted plants and bulbs, leaving them in their moss balls/pots until you’re ready to make your wreath.
  • Upon receiving your wreath kit, take the wrap of cut foliage and flowers and snip an inch off the bottom of each stem before adding to a vase or bucket of water. Keep your wrap of flowers in a cool place, away from direct sunlight or radiators.
  • Wreath kits should be made within 2 days of the delivery date.

After Making Your Wreath

  • Once you have made your wreath, spray it using a water spray bottle every few days, or as often as needed to keep the moss base damp-to-touch.
  • Once a week (or more often if the spring weather is warmer than average), sit the base of your wreath in water so that the moss can take up more water and fully rehydrate.
  • Protect your wreath from extreme seasonal weather such as heavy rainfall, snow, high winds and high temperatures.
  • Your wreath comes with a protective wrap backing to protect the paintwork on your door, however we recommend you take your wreath down temporarily in windy conditions to remove the risk of damage to your door.

Keeping Your Wreath Looking It's Best

  • If your wreath features living bulbs, you can remove these as they go past their best and plant them in your garden to enjoy next year.
  • Once your wreath has finished flowering, you can remove the rest of the plants and bulbs in the moss parcels and plant them in your garden to enjoy next year.
Wreath Hanging Instructions
  • Your fresh door wreath should be hung outdoors. Hanging your wreath indoors may lead to a shortened lifespan due to additional heat factors.
  • There are several ways you can hang your wreath, depending on what you have available. You can hang your wreath from a door knocker or nail using the ribbon / string loop on the top of your wreath. You can also use an over-the-door wreath hanger which are commonly available,  or a Command Wreath Hook.

Safety Precautions

Not suitable for human or animal consumption.

Some flowers, foliages and berries are toxic to both pets and people, so please keep them out of reach of children and animals.

Please note that any fruits, seeds or decorations that are provided as part of the Christmas Wreath DIY kits are not for human consumption.

If your door has a porous paint finish, take precautions to protect the paintwork on your door by adding the plastic wreath wrap provided to the back of your wreath. This helps to protect your door from the moisture in the moss.

We recommend removing the wreath from your door during heavy rainfall or high winds.

FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

What is the best way to care for my fresh spring wreath?

When you hang your spring wreath, you should protect it from any extreme seasonal weather such as heavy snow, rainfall, high winds or high temperatures - we can get all types of different weather in the spring! To keep your wreath fresh, spray your wreath and the moss base using a water spray bottle every few days, or as often as needed to keep the base damp-to-touch. If the spring weather is warmer than usual, keep a close watch on your wreath and water when necessary. You should always keep your Christmas wreath hanging outside where possible as exposure to indoor heating will shorten the life of your wreath.

I live outside of the UK, can I pay in my local currency?

If you would like to pay for your order through the website in a currency other than GBP (£), please email me at rachel@petalsandpaperie.com and I can provide you with a custom order and payment link that allows you to checkout in your local currency.

What happens if the recipient is not home when you try to deliver?

If no-one is at the recipient’s address to receive the delivery, I will leave your delivery in either the safe place you have specified, or a covered area which I deem safe to leave it.

If I cannot find a safe place, I will leave the delivery with a neighbour and leave a calling card in your letterbox. All bouquets and arrangements are left with a water source, so you can feel assured that your flowers will be hydrated until the recipient returns.

Unfortunately, because fresh flowers are perishable, I am unable to take deliveries back to our studio for re-delivery.

How much do I have to spend to qualify for delivery?

There is a minimum order spend of £40 in order to be eligible for delivery on the website. This can be made up of fresh flowers, wreaths, gifts and lifestyle items.

When will my order be delivered?

Deliveries are carried out by my team between 8.00am - 6.00pm Tuesday - Saturday. Bouquets will not be delivered on Mondays, Sundays or Bank Holidays unless otherwise stated. This does change for busy annual periods such as Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day.

Due to the nature of our changing studio schedule, we cannot guarantee a specific delivery time on your chosen delivery day.

You'll have the opportunity to select your preferred delivery date on the product page when adding to cart.
